After becoming ‘legally single’, Kim Kardashian has dropped 'West' from her surname. Here's what happened.
Reality show star Kim Kardashian has recently removed 'West' from her name on her official social media accounts, including Instagram and Twitter, after a court declared her 'legally single'. Earlier, Kim used to go by the name of Kim Kardashian West on the platforms. She married rapper Kanye West in 2014-22. Kim filed for divorce a year ago, citing irreconcilable differences with Kanye. The former couple has four children together – daughter North (8), son Saint (6), daughter Chicago (4), and son Psalm (2). This is Kanye's first and Kim's third divorce.
Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kanye West officially ended on Wednesday after a Los Angeles judge finalized her divorce from the rapper. According to AFP news agency, Kim appeared in court virtually, but Kanye was represented only by his lawyer, who did not object to the end of the marriage. He had publicly fought for the separation, including posting on social media, soliciting reconciliation with Kim.

According to the report, Kim wrote in a declaration filed in court last week, "I want to divorce. I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so. I believe that." The court quashed our divorce." Marital status will help Kanye accept that our marital relationship is over and move on to a better path that will help us peacefully co-parent our children."
The two, who started dating in 2012, married two years later in a lavish ceremony in Italy. Kim is now in a relationship with comedian and actor Pete Davidson, 28.
Recently, Kanye released a music video for his new song Easy, in which he was seen kidnapping and burying a cartoon version of Pete. In the video, Kanye rapped sitting on top of a coffin. He also placed a bag over the head of a Pete Davidson-like character before kidnapping him and taking it to an empty tomb before burying the body.
