After some remarkable performances in the league, Florian Wirtz is emerging as the next big talent in the Bundesliga. The youngster is already one of the top rated players in the league, and is starting to attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world as well.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are watching the midfielder as he develops his game at Bayer Leverkusen. And an eventual transfer to a European elite is likely.

Despite several top clubs keeping tabs on the player, nothing is currently advanced between him and Bayer. The Bundesliga club is confident about keeping Florian Wirtz at the club for the 2022/23 season.

No move expected in 2022. Bayer Leverkusen are planning to keep him. pic.twitter.com/n65284Y7KO
This season, Wirtz has made 10 assists and scored seven goals in 22 Bundesliga games. Considering he's only 18, it's a remarkable comeback. His performance is one of the main reasons behind Bayer Leverkusen's third place in the Bundesliga this season.
The Bayer Leverkusen Academy graduate has four years left on his current contract, after signing a new deal last year. He has made four appearances for the German national team, and will certainly be a top player for years to come.
As a result, there is no panic over the status of his transfer. But a move to 2023 could be on the cards with Real Madrid planning to recruit a talented attacking midfielder in the future.
