Grammy Awards 2022: Chris Stapleton Deep Deep with a award-winning 'cold'

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday night.

Country music singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton performed his single "Cold" during the 64th annual Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday night.

Pre-ceremony, the Kentucky native won Best Country Solo Performance for "You Should Maybe Leave" and Best Country Song for "Cold." During the show, they won the award for Best Country Album with "Starting Over".

Stapleton, who is known for his well-worn cowboy hat and ZZ Top-esque beard, absolutely screamed on stage as he played guitar along with "Cold", proving that that particular cut was an award-winning one. Why was it Like in the performances of Rodrigo, Eilish and Carlyle, Stapleton's voice was the highlight, each word delivered with such intent and passion. This was of course enhanced by the string section and their backing band, which made the song some of the dazzles on music's biggest night.

In March, Stapleton won the Male Artist of the Year award at the 57th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, beating Jimmy Allen, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Thomas Rhett.
