Rangiora [New Zealand], Feb 27 (ANI): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has changed the scorecard of the India-South Africa warm-up match on several occasions and as a result, confusion has arisen regarding the outcome of the match.
Earlier, the scorecard stated that South Africa beat India by four wickets, however, half an hour later, a scoresheet went viral on social media stating that India won the match by two runs.
After some time, the ICC website also updated the scorecard, and finally, it showed how India actually won the match by two runs. South Africa needed eight runs to win in the last over, but could only manage five runs and in the end India won the match by 2 runs.
At one point, the scorecard even suggested that India won the match by one run.
Earlier, India posted 244 after being sent in to bat by South Africa captain Sune Luss. For the Mithali Raj-led side, Yastika Bhatia scored 58 while Harmanpreet Kaur scored a century.
After colluding with Bhatia, skipper Mithali Raj was run out for a duck, though the innings was that of Harmanpreet Kaur, who ran with little risk.
Harmanpreet smashed 103 off 114 balls with the help of 9 fours as India posted a total of over 240 runs. (ANI)
