Sean Penn says he and his associates ate his car while leaving Ukraine.
The actor, activist and director was reportedly working on a documentary in the country when the Russian military invaded.
Penn recently tweeted a picture in which he was seen walking on the road with his belongings amidst a long queue of cars.
"Me and two accomplices left our car on the side of the road and walked for miles to the Polish border," the tweet read. "Almost all the cars in this picture carry only women and children, most without any indication of baggage, and a car is their only right of value."
Penn had previously tweeted, "A cruel mistake already taken and heartbroken, and if he doesn't, I believe Mr. Putin will have made the most terrible mistake of all mankind."
Already a brutal mistake of lives taken and hearts broken, and if he doesn’t relent, I believe Mr. Putin will have made a most horrible mistake for all of humankind. President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle. (1/2)

"President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have emerged as historical symbols of courage and principle", he wrote. "Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we are allowed to fight it alone, our soul as America is lost."
A representative for Penn confirmed to CNN that it had taken it out of Ukraine, but declined to provide any further details.
