Phoenix Sun's Devin Booker placed in health and safety protocol

All-Star guard Devin Booker entered the NBA's health and safety protocol and missed the Phoenix Suns' 120-90 win against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

Booker entered protocol earlier this season in September and missed the start of media day and training camp.

Booker is a three-time All-Star and the team's leading scorer, averaging 25.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. The 25-year-old's absence is another blow for the Suns, who are also missing fellow All-Star guard Chris Paul.

Paul broke his thumb on 16 February and could miss the rest of the regular season, although the team hopes to make a comeback before the playoffs.

With Wednesday's win, the Suns became the first NBA team to hit 50 wins this season and need to play just .500 balls for the rest of the regular season to reach 60 wins.
