According to Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, People and Deadline, Farah Fork, best known for her role as helicopter pilot Alex Lambert on the '90s sitcom "Wings," has died. She was 54 years old.
A family friend told Deadline, People and Variety that Fork died of cancer on February 25 at his Texas home.
Fork's "Wings" co-star Steven Weber also confirmed the late actor's death on Instagram.
"Farah the fork has passed," Weber captioned a photo of the fork. "She was as tough, fun, beautiful, and grounded as her character 'Alex' on 'Wings.'"
Fork's acting career began with a role in the Texas production of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". Later, she moved to New York and studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. Fork landed his first major role in the 1991 sci-fi horror flick "Brain Twisters".
Fork joined the cast of "Wings" for the fourth season of the NBC drama and remained on the show through its sixth season. He had a recurring role on the superhero sitcom "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman", starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. Fork played investigator Mason Drake in the second season of the ABC comedy adventure series.
After "Wings" and "Lois & Clarke", Fork played lead roles in the sitcoms "Dwibs" and "Mr. Fork's final role was a voiceover performance in the 2005 animated series "Justice League Unlimited".
Fork also did voice work for several companies, including Cadillac, Arabic and Checkers.
The actor left the entertainment industry in the mid-2000s to raise twin sons, Chuck and Witt.
In 1994, Fork filed a lawsuit claiming that her silicone breast implants were designed negligently and caused damage when they broke. Fork, 26, at the time, said she had received implants in 1989 and had them removed in 1993, adding that neither the implant manufacturers nor her doctor had properly warned her of potential complications.
Born on January 12, 1968, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Fork was named after a family friend and fellow Corpus Christi native Farah Fawcett, according to IMDb.
Fork's sons are Chuck and Witt; his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Chuck Talmage; and his three sisters, Paige Inglis, Jennifer Seller and Maggie Talmage.
According to THR, a private service was organized for Forke by close family and friends.
Her family also requested that people donate flowers to the American Cancer Society or any other charity of their choice.
