Three 2022 March Madness bracket games to watch
A 2022 March Madness matchup to keep an eye on: Boise State vs. Memphis in the West Zone. Boise State head coach Leon Rice was a Mark Few assistant and led the Broncos back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015. Meanwhile, Penny Hardaway led Memphis to her first March Madness appearance since 2014. It will be a fight between Memphis. Freshmen Jalen Duren and Emonie Bates are up against a Boise State squad that has five seniors among its top six players.
Further in the West Zone, Number 5 Connecticut takes on Number 12 New Mexico State. The Huskies played a tough program in the six-spoke Big East, but the Aggies would ride high after winning the WAC Championship and win quality over Davidson and Washington State on their resume. Meanwhile, Dan Hurley's team won seven out of nine consecutive wins and was seeded No. 2 of Villanova and Auburn.
The third matchup to watch is also at the West Regional, where No. 7 Michigan State meets No. 10 Davidson. Preparation is key in NCAA Tournament 2022, and Tom Izzo and Bob McKillop are the coaching legends who will keep their teams ready. Davidson's 27 wins are the most events since the Stephen Curry-led team went to the Elite Eight in 2008. Michigan State is looking for its first tournament win since making the Final Four in 2019.
