A day after the death of a freelance journalist who was also covering Russia's invasion, a Fox News correspondent was injured in Ukraine.
Fox News State Department correspondent Benjamin Hall was injured during a news gathering near Kyiv on Monday, according to Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott.
The circumstances were not immediately clear, but Hall was admitted to the hospital, according to Scott, who "kindly asked to keep Ben and his family in their prayers." Pentagon spokesman John Kirby also confirmed his injuries.
"We know Ben for his warmth, good humor, and extreme professionalism," State Department Correspondents' Association president Shawn Tandon said in a statement. Hall's injury follows the death of freelance journalist Brent Renaud on Sunday, the US State Department confirmed. According to Sugar23, Renaud was in Ukraine to cover the global refugee crisis for a documentary with Sugar23, Time Studios and Day Zero Productions.
