Roger Federer along with his wife Mirka will be on the tennis court this week for a brief hitting session, according to coach Severin Luthi.
The last time Roger Federer was doing something related to tennis was several months ago when he took part in the Laver Cup in Boston. Since then, Federer has mostly been under the radar, giving brief updates on his return. The most recent came by his coach, Severin Luthi, who, speaking to Teges Engage, revealed that Federer will return to the courts this week:
"Roger Federer is set to be back on a tennis court this week for a hitting session with his wife Mirka."
Luthi also pointed out that progress is being made but that his return to Wimbledon is unlikely:
"At the moment I can't imagine it. He's in rehab and making progress."
This is great news for all Federer and tennis fans as the Swiss face will definitely be back this year which is exciting.
