According to Rolling Stone, the 76-year-old said in Monday's post, "I want you to immediately tell Spotify today that I want to take all my music off my platform." "They can have Rogan or Young. Not both."

"Rogan" refers to the highly controversial podcast host Joe Rogan, who has consistently made false and false claims around vaccines and COVID-19. Earlier this month, a group of more than 250 scientists, doctors and nurses wrote an open letter to Spotify, condemning the streamer for staging Rogan and warning its listeners about misinformation. Called for Spotify.

According to Variety, "The Joe Rogan Experience" was Spotify's most popular podcast worldwide in 2021. The Wall Street Journal reported at the time that it became a Spotify exclusive in 2020, when Rogan signed a multi-year exclusive licensing deal with the streaming service worth more than $100 million.
