The "Dancing With the Stars" contestant arrived on the red carpet in a black lace jumpsuit that featured a sheer texture. The piece featured pointed shoulders, and was topped with a stunning iridescent bandeau top. Siwa's accessories include layered stud earrings, as well as temporary wrist tattoos from Rainbow Hearts to show support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
The dancer also posed with her "DWTS" partner Jenna Johnson, who wore a sleek black cutout gown for the occasion. Johnson and Siwa previously made headlines for being the first same-sex partners on a competition show. In fact, Johnson allowed Siwa to borrow her Christian Louboutin pumps last year—the first time Siwa was wearing high heels on the red carpet.
Siwa also told Access Hollywood that her outfit was, in fact, styled by her mother, Jessalyn Siwa.
When it comes to shoes, the "Merry Go Round" singer wore a pair of black lace-up shoes. The dark style featured exaggerated soles and rounded toes—as well as long uppers with sparkly laces—which instantly streamlined Siwa's outfit.
The 2022 GLAAD Media Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, the event hosted by drag queens Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela and Eureka O'Hara. The top prizes of the evening went to MJ Rodriguez (Stephen F. Kolzak Award), Casey Musgraves (Vanguard Award) and Amy Schneider (Special Recognition Award). On the media front, "Saved by the Bell," "Eternal" and "Hacks" also earned top awards. The event also included musical performances by the Musgraves and Jake Wesley Rogers. The awards will conclude at GLAAD's New York ceremony on May 6, 2022.
