Grammys 'Essence' Wizkid Worth, said Davido's lawyer

Davido's lawyer, Bobo Ajudua aka Prince, has argued that Wizkid was 'ripped' at the recently concluded 64th Grammy Awards following the singer's loss.

Wizkid was nominated in the 'Best Global Music Performance' category, recognizing new vocal or instrumental global music recordings.

They also received a second nomination in the 'Best Global Music Album' category for the album, which accounts for at least 51% of the time of new vocal or instrumental global music recordings.

However, the singer lost both nominations as Pakistani Aroz Aftab's "Mohabbat" won the 'Best Global Music Performance' award, while Beninese Angelique Kidjo's, "Mother Nature", won the 'Best Global Music Album' category.

Responding to the news, Ajudua insisted the Big Wiz album "Essence" deserved a Grammys win, noting that it was a global anthem.

"I don't know much, and don't speak much on these things, but we all know the award belonged to 'essence'. They gave the world an anthem", he tweeted.
