DJ Kay Slay Passes Away After Battle with Covid-19

The family of Kay Slay has confirmed the passing and issued the following statement.

“We are heartbroken by the passing of Keith Grayson, known professionally as DJ K Slay. A prominent figure in hip hop culture with millions of fans worldwide, DJ K Slay is recognized for his passion and excellence. Will be remembered with a legacy that will pass through the generations. In memory of DJ K Slay, our family would like to thank all his friends, fans and supporters for their prayers and well wishes during this difficult time. That you respect our privacy as we are saddened by this tragic loss."

Disclosing Wack 100, DJ K Slay has passed away after a long battle with COVID-19.

Wack first revealed the news of the legendary DJ battling the virus in January. According to him, the 55-year-old was on a ventilator and the family sought positive energy so that he could get better. A few days ago, Wack gave an update on Kay Slay, saying that he was still fighting.

"UPDATE‼️ @djkayslay still fighting," he wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday (April 14). "He's been away from the #ECMO machine for a couple of weeks. Let's continue our prayers as our brother continues to fight."

About an hour ago on Sunday night, Vack took to his Instagram stories to reveal the unfortunate news that Kay Slay has passed away. It is definitely a sad day for Hip-Hop and our prayers are with his family and friends.
