Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch to win a raw women's championship in Wrestlemania 38

Bianca Belair finally took revenge on Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 by defeating "Big Time Beck" for the Raw Women's Championship in a stunning match. The final moment came when a desperate Lynch attempted to hoist "The EST" for a top rope manhandle slam, only to have Belair backed out and nailed KOD for the win.

The history between Lynch and Belair goes back to SummerSlam 2021, when Lynch made her surprise return from hiatus and challenged "The EST" to an immediate title match for the SmackDown Women's Championship. Lynch then turned heel, nailed Belair with a cheap shot, and pinned Belair to win the title in less than 30 seconds. Lynch then solidified his heel position over the following months, repeatedly cheating to retain his title, and eventually ousting Belair from the title picture (both moved to Raw for the WWE Draft).

Belair finally got another shot at Lynch at Elimination Chamber in February, beating five other women to become the No. 1 contender. He then foils Lynch's attempt to cut his signature braid and gives Lynch a new haircut in the process.

Prior to WrestleMania, Lynch also addressed Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey being high on the card. It was originally listed as the show's main event, although the KO Show segment with Steve Austin would close Saturday's show.

"It doesn't matter," Lynch told Ariel Helwani. "They can go later. Again I don't think they are the main event. But look, my match will steal the show. My match is going to get better. My story has been better. Everything I've done has been better. It's not even a question. No one, not a single person, unless you're an idiot, can say that their stuff has been better than mine. And yes, it doesn't matter to me. Wherever they are Even if they go last, I don't care, my stuff is better. My stuff is the real main event."

"If we're the main event, of course," she said later on whether she thought her match with Belair deserved that spot. “I think story-wise, only two women have won the main event of WrestleMania—the main eventing loser, the main eventing WrestleMania loser, sure. But then I guess one, you Looks like it's a symbolic gesture that they're going last because of Ronda's name. I don't think anyone thinks their story is better and they deserve it."
