I would like to thank Presidents Carol Fault, Mike Bohn, Brandon Sosna and Paul Perrier for their support. Their impact on our program I also want to acknowledge how fortunate I am to be surrounded by excellent coaches and staff, and to recognize my fans and students because their enthusiasm and energy are a tremendous asset.
"My family and I are very happy to be part of the Trojan family. I feel very good about the future of USC basketball on the Pac-12 and national level."
21 USC, seeded third in this Thursday (March 10) quarterfinal game in the Pac-12 tournament, plays a 25-6 overall record in 2022, the most regular season win ever.
Last season, when Enfield was Pac-12 Coach of the Year (USC's first honor since 1992), USC went 25-8 and reached the NCAA Elite Eight for only the second time in 67 years.
During Anfield's tenure, the Trojans set a school season win record (26 in 2017) and the most wins in the program's history in 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-year periods. Their 5-game winning streak over crosstown rival UCLA was the longest at USC versus the Bruins since 1943.
Enfield's overall USC record is 182-116. The Trojans' 72 victories over the past 3 seasons is the third-most among Power 6 schools and their 60 Pac-12 victories over the past 5 seasons is the second-most in the conference. In the last 7 years, USC has won 68% of its games (159–75), including 6 seasons with at least 21 wins (in the 40 years before that, USC had won at 50% and 6 Barr only won 20 games.)
Enfield has consistently brought in 7 top 30 recruiting classes, and next season's class is ranked 6th nationally. A Trojan has been a first-round pick in the last 3 NBA drafts, with back-to-back lottery picks (Oneka Okongwu and Evan Mobley).
