They're getting stronger! Matt James and Rachel Kirkconnell seem to be madly in love as they walk the Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet on March 7. The lovebirds entered Las Vegas for the award show and were among the first to grace the red carpet. They both brought some of their best country-inspired outfits to the show.
Rachel was wearing a shiny black mini dress that was embellished with silver stars. The LBD featured fringe detail at the bottom, and she paired the look with strappy black heels that wrapped around her ankle. Rachael also sported a sparkling silver clutch to match the silver stars of the dress.
Meanwhile, Matt channeled Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's famous American Music Awards double denim look with his outfit. He wore a denim jacket and blue sneakers with jeans and a blue button down. She also wore a denim bucket hat and sunglasses to complete the goofy outfit!
It's been almost a year since Rachel and Matt got back together after their post-season drama of The Bachelor. Matt chose Rachel at the end of his season, which was filmed in late 2020. Although they did not get engaged, they left the show as a couple. However, while the season was airing, old photos of Rachel displaying racist behavior went viral on the internet. Matt broke up with her, and in After the Final Rose in March 2021, the two revealed that they were no longer together.
Eventually, by the end of April, Matt and Rachel found their way back to each other, and they've been together ever since.
