Manson recently sued over the documentary as well.
Actor Evan Rachel Wood recently announced her two-part documentary Phoenix Rising, based on her legal battle and the allegations against Marilyn Manson. Manson has since responded to a lawsuit against Wood and his friend Ilma Gore for defamation, emotional distress, and "impersonation on the Internet."
Now Ashley Walters, Manson's former assistant, who has sued Manson for "sexual assault, battery and harassment", has submitted a revised lawsuit saying she is in a "persistent state of fear of reprisal and retribution". The reason was not able to participate in Phoenix Rising. Manson's attorneys earlier this year also sought to have Walters' case dismissed because of the statute of limitations.
The amended lawsuit, via Metal Hammer, reads, “The defendants must not allow [Manson’s] physical, emotionally and psychologically debilitating and threatening behavior to use the statute of limitations as a shield.”
"While (Walter) could not recall several specific acts of intimidation, threats and coercion until the fall of 2020 or later, the compilation of several intimidating and violent incidents created a constant state of fear of retaliation and retaliation."
