The pristine TPC sawgrass course will serve as the host with the first 18 holes lined up to set the stage for what was to be a groundbreaking tournament in Round 1 on Thursday.
This week could be a slog. Tons of rain are expected, including the first two days, and strong winds are expected over the weekend. It should favor ball-strikers, players who can fly their golf ball under gusts of wind and hold onto the plethora of watering holes against some of the heavy stuff that TPC Sawgrass has to offer.
Whatever the weather, this week's players should be rocking. It's a massive event with huge career implications and a trophy (not to mention first place prize money of $3.6 million) that could crown someone as a Masters favorite. Between the lush island at No. 17, the loaded-up leaderboard and a handful of golfers attempting to overtake Jon Rahm as the No. 1 player in the world, the next four days are going to be absolutely rocking.
