A Fox News reporter has been injured while reporting in Ukraine, the media company has called for a response from the White House.
Jackie Heinrich, 32, of Fox News, beat up White House press secretary Jen Psaki, 43, after a fellow journalist was wounded in the Russian war.
According to reporters on Monday, 39-year-old Benjamin Hall was injured while covering the war outside Kyiv amid intense attack by Russian forces.
"The president said in February that the US would retaliate forcefully if Americans were targeted in Ukraine," Heinrich said. He said, 'Today one of my companions got injured. We're still waiting to hear if he's okay. So what would that reaction look like?'
Psaki said Biden and US allies have imposed economic sanctions on Russia, with the United States giving all aid to Ukraine.
'I think you've seen the president leading the world - put in the outcome,' he said: 'But in terms of next steps or what the next outcome will be, I have something for you to preview. Neither is. At this time.'
And Psaki declined to answer when Heinrich asked him what would be Biden's 'red line' for more action.
'So I would say that, at this point in time, we've rarely been on edge. "We are leading this effort around the world to respond to every step and every step being taken by President Putin and Russia," Saki said.
Biden vowed in mid-February to respond "coercively" to the targeting of Americans in Ukraine. Earlier, Vladimir Putin attacked Ukraine.
"We are not seeking a direct confrontation with Russia, although I am clear that if Russia targets Americans in Ukraine, we will respond forcefully," Biden said at the time.
