CHP Pursuit Of Shooting Suspects Ends In Baldwin Park

BALDWIN PARK (CBSLA) - California Highway Patrol officers were searching for a suspect in the Baldwin Park area Thursday evening.

The vehicle in question is a white GMC SUV. The suspect led officers through several freeways, including I-10 and I-110.

Several people were in the vehicle as it ran away from officers, at least one of whom was said to be a member of the gang.

It is unknown when the incident happened and when the chase began around 10:25 pm.

The Baldwin Park Police Department was the parent agency, but they handed it over to the CHP soon after the chase began.

The suspects led officers through downtown Los Angeles, driving the wrong way, before making a quick U-turn, heading east through a ramp to enter Freeway 10.

With the Sky9 chopper overhead, several suspects can be seen leaning out of the sunroof of the vehicle.

Around 10:50 a.m., the suspects completed a full circle, ending up back in Baldwin Park.

The suspect crashed into an uninvited vehicle on Bogart Avenue and Clark Street, where they were immediately surrounded by officers with firearms.
