The Atlanta Braves and Oakland Athletics are negotiating a trade that will send star first baseman Matt Olsen to Atlanta.
In return, the A will get outfielder Christian Pache, catcher Shia Langeliers and pitchers Ryan Cusick and Joy Estes.
Olsson, a first-time All-Star last season, hit 39 homers and scored 111 runs with a slash line of .271/.371/.540 to lead Oakland in all major hitting categories.
After acquiring Atlanta native Olsson, the Braves are unlikely to re-sign free-agent first baseman Freddie Freeman.
