Mann Ki Baat: The idols stolen from India are now coming back, said PM Modi

On the last Sunday of February, Prime Minister Modi addressed the people through the radio program 'Mann Ki Baat'. In his address, he talked about the heritage of the country. The Prime Minister said that this month India has been able to bring back its valuable heritage from Italy. He said that with tireless efforts, a thousand-year-old statue of Avalokiteshvara Padmapani has been brought back from Italy. A few years back it was stolen from Gaya in Bihar.

'700 years old Hanuman ji statue found from Australia'

Prime Minister Modi said that the statue of Anjaneyaar Hanuman ji was stolen from Tamil Nadu. This statue is about 600-700 years old. Earlier this month we got it from Australia. The PM said that it is our duty to bring back whatever our heritage has gone abroad. It has a cultural and historical responsibility.

Should be proud of Hindi: Modi

PM Modi said that in the year 2019, Hindi was the third most spoken language in the world. Every Indian should be proud of this. Language is not only a medium of expression but also preserves society and culture. Referring to an incident, Modi said that once he had gone to America and went to a Telugu family. There was a rule that all the family members at the dinner table would speak in Telugu only.
