Actress Lindsay Perlman, best known for her work on television series such as "Chicago Justice" and "Empire," was found dead in Los Angeles on Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
She was 43 years old.
"At approximately 8:30 this morning, Hollywood area officials responded to a radio call to investigate the deaths at Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue," the LAPD said in a statement Friday. "The LA County Coroner's office has since confirmed the person to be Lindsey Erin Perlman."
No additional details were provided.
Perlman's friends and family had previously reported her missing and requested the public's help in locating her when she failed to return home on February 13. According to the police, she was last seen in Hollywood, where her body was found.
A graduate of The Second City Conservatory, her personal website says, Perlman was active in the Chicago theater community before relocating to California to pursue additional camera work.
Perlman's other television credits include roles in "Selena: The Series," "The Miss Pat Show," "Sneaky Pete," "American Housewife," "Vice" and "General Hospital."
The cause of his death is pending determination by the coroner.
