Large amounts of hail fall in parts of North Texas, damage reported in neighborhoods

Strong to severe storms rolled through parts of North Texas Monday night.

DECATUR, Texas - A severe storm hit northern Texas Monday night and hailstorms fell in parts of the region.

From Parker and Palo Pinto to Denton and Colin counties, the storm rolled across the region, with the main threats being hail and gusts of wind.

Residents of those affected areas shared their experiences showing hailstones and different pellet sizes.

Hail fell during a period of severe storm in North Texas

Hail has also occurred in many localities. The WFAA's scoop was in the Jefferson Wise county town of Rome, where windows were shattered in at least one house. The landlord said neighbors were reporting similar damage, including vehicles.
