OHIO (AP/WJW) — This February 22, the world has accomplished an unprecedented feat. This is the date itself: 2/22/22. And this so-called "two day" falls on a Tuesday, no less.
According to the National Weather Service, such "two days" will not happen again until 2422 – 400 years from now.
It is true that the number pattern stands out, impossible to miss. But does it have any meaning?
"Two days" has no historical significance or any temporal message.
Two days isn't the only date with flashy patterns. In this century alone there have been repetitions of some One Days (1/11/11 and 11/11/11), and 11 other months such as 01/01/01, 06/06/06 and 12/12/12. We'll hit Threeday, 3/3/33, in 11 years, and then Fourday after 11 years.
Day Two 2022 is actually part of an eight-day palindrome. A palindrome is when a phrase or sequence reads backwards and forwards in the same way.
Even Google is getting in on the fun. When users search for "2/22/22," confetti and a "Happy Day Two!" The message pops up on the screen.
