Corey Heim had a breakout year in 2021 as he won six races, finished second on points and recorded a Top 10 finish in all 20 races during last year's ARCA Maynards Series season - and picked up right where he finished last. The fall was skipped, as he recorded a speed of 183.13 mph during qualifying to secure pole position for Saturday's 2022 season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
Hem, who won the event a year ago, will want to go back-to-back on Saturday, February 19 to hoist the green flag.
Gus Dean will join Heim in the front row, and he will seek his third ARCA win of his career and his first at Daytona.
Parker Chase took third place, while Mason Diaz and Sean Kors completed the top five. The trio will be looking for their first ARCA win.
In addition, Greg Van Alst sixth, Tim Richmond seventh, Willie Mullins eighth, Chuck Hears ninth and Drew Dollar - who won at Talladega Superspeedway in 2020 - will round out the top 10.
Daniel Die, who took his first career win at Berlin Raceway last summer, will start 14th.
There were 36 entries for the race, but only 35 took part in qualifying, as Benny Chastain did not attempt a qualifying lap. Although 37 drivers were on the entry list, number 02 was withdrawn along with Chuck Walker. With only 36 competitors, each driver qualified for the race.
