We're live from The Amex Stadium on the south coast as Steven Gerrard looks for a big improvement from his players after back-to-back defeats against Newcastle and Watford
Steven Gerrard has named his all-important Aston Villa the starting line-up for this afternoon's performance with Brighton, as both Ezri Konsa and Ollie Watkins make their way back into the XI for Callum Chambers and Amy Bendia, respectively.
Gerrards Villa are in a disappointing run of just one win in their last eight matches, having lost five in that time including consecutive defeats to Newcastle and, last week, Watford.
Speaking to Birmingham Live on Friday, Gerrard said: "Nobody in this group likes to be green, nobody likes to look at our recent results. They all want to change that.
“We go on, we have to persevere and we have to keep trying to improve these players. We knew coming into this job that it would take time to recover.
"What I would say about my players is that everyone is trying to pull in the same direction to change the result."
For the line-up and Conca, back from his two-game suspension, made Chambers in a similar change at the back, while in attack, Watkins is in for Buendia in a surprise change.
From the front it will be Amy Martinez playing behind the back four of Matty Cash, Conca, Tyrone Mings and Lucas Digne.
Next on defense, it is the same again with John McGuin, Douglas Luiz and Jacob Ramsey, while in the attack, Watkins and Philippe Coutinho will support Danny Ings.
Here is your villa line-up before 3 pm.
