Toss Afghanistan decided to bat against Bangladesh

Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in the first ODI in Chattogram. Their opposite number Tamim Iqbal said that they were expecting the pitch to play all day, so they were happy.

Yasir Ali is making his debut for Bangladesh as he made four changes to the squad that played his last match in this format in July. Mohd Mithun, Nurul Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain and Mohd Saifuddin went while Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehdi Hasan Miraj and Yasir came.
