Manchester City drew a 1-1 draw with 12th-placed Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.
Kyle Walker-Peters scored in just seven minutes without losing time. Aymeric Laporte scored in 65 minutes to give Pep Guardiola's team a point.
City's lead at the top of the Premier League table is now 12 points, with second-placed Liverpool playing Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Walker-Peters' opening strike ended beautifully. He took the ball as he entered the box and hit a shot over Ederson and into the top left corner.
The goal was the right-back's first in the Premier League.
Walker-Peters said after the game, "It wasn't a bad ending, was it? I practice as much as I can, and I finally get my first Premier League goal, and I'm happy."
"I'm almost pulling when I'm finished. I used the outside of my foot, because that's where the ball bounced, and luckily I hit it well.
You can't describe it. A great feeling, and it's really nice to be at home against the fans. It was against one of the top teams in the world, and I think we competed against them today. I am really happy to have achieved the target."
City's goal came from a free-kick by Gabriel Jesus. Kevin de Bruyne takes the free and drives it into the box where Laporte gets it into the goal.
"I think we played really well and probably deserved more, but it's very difficult if we don't score more than one," Laporte said after the game.
"They have good players here and the pitch is small, so it's a bit difficult."
