'Reservoir Dogs' actor Michael Madsen’s son dies at 26

“We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson," a representative said on behalf of the family.

The son of "Reservoir Dogs" actor Michael Madsen has died, according to his family. He was 26 years old.

The Department of Medical Examiners in Honolulu told NBC News that Hudson Madsen died of suspected suicide on Sunday.

The family asked for privacy.

A representative on behalf of the family said, "We are saddened by Hudson's passing and overwhelmed with sadness and pain. His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him."

Hudson was one of three sons Madsen shares with his wife, DeAnna Madsen. He also has children from a previous marriage.

Page Six reported that Hudson was Quentin Tarantino's godson.

Madsen has collaborated with Tarantino on several occasions. In addition to "Reservoir Dogs," he starred in "Kill Bill: Volume 1," "Kill Bill: Volume 2," "The Hateful Eight" and "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood."
