Megan Fox's Engagement Ring Designed To Hurt Her if She Takes It Off

Machine Gun Kelly has revealed that the engagement ring she gave to Megan Fox is designed to "hurt" her whenever she takes it off.

The stars announced their plans to get married in an Instagram post last week, sharing images of the proposal "under the same branches we fell in love" and a dazzling Stephen Webster emerald and diamond ring.

In a new interview with Vogue, the 31-year-old musician explains what the ring would look like on Fox's hand, as well as thoughts on what it would look like.

"It's a Colombian emerald without a cure," said Machine Gun Kelly—real name Colson Baker. "It was just engraved in teardrop, straight from the mine. And the diamond was straight from Stephen.

"The concept is that the ring can separate to form two rings. When it's together, it's held in place by a magnet. So, you see how it snaps together? And then this one makes a fuzzy heart. And you see it right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts..."

"Love is pain!" The "Rap Devil" artist added in a joint interview with her 35-year-old fiancé.

Elsewhere in the interview, Machine Gun Kelly stated that footage of the motion – which included multiple angles and closeups – was captured by his phone while sitting on a cup.

When asked by his interviewer whether he anticipated their engagement to be such big news, Transformers Star Fox said: "I don't really watch social media or anything, so I don't know."

Explaining why he chose to share their intimate moment on social media, the rapper said that he wanted the pictures to come from him.

"We released it to control the narrative," he said. "As opposed to someone grabbing a weird cell phone picture of a ring on our hand and being like, Wow! But yeah, I didn't expect [the big reaction].

"I just recorded it on my cell phone. And it wasn't like we had a photographer or anything. It was like setting my phone against a cup."

Machine Gun Kelly posted a video of her fiancee's jewel-adorned Anamika with the caption: "Yeah, in this life and in every life' under the same branches we loved, I'm going to marry her to bring her back. started asking for it."

He added to the ring: "I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: emerald (his birthstone) and diamond (my birthstone) two magnetic bands of thorns is set upon as the two halves of the same soul that draw together the fuzzy heart that is our love. 1-11-2022."

Fox also mentioned the importance of the location of the proposal in his Instagram caption.

She wrote: "In July 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short time.

"A relationship ignorant about work and renunciation will require of us but intoxicated by love. And karma.

"Somehow after a year and a half, after walking through Hell together, and laughing more than I thought, he asked me to marry him.

"And as in every life before this, and in every life that will follow, I said yes."

Her caption ended with a statement that triggered an avalanche of social media jokes: "...and then we drank each other's blood."

The pair met on the sets of their film Midnight in the Switchgrass, the shooting of which began in March 2020. They became official on Instagram in July 2020.

Fox's separation from Brian Austin Green was confirmed in May 2020 after 10 years of marriage. They have three sons- Noah Shannon, 9, Bodhi Ransom, 7, and Journey Rivers, 5.

Machine Gun Kelly is the father of a 12-year-old daughter Cassie with Emma Cannon.
