Tokyo Olympian Grace Brown dominated the women's elite time trial on day one of the Australian Road Cycling Championships.
Brown reclaimed the title he won for the first time in 2019, beating his rivals at Mount Helen near Ballarat.
The 29-year-old completed the 28.6 km course in 41 minutes 26.68 seconds on Wednesday afternoon.
Emerging South Australian Amber Pate was 1:01.43 behind in second and Lisa Jacob took the bronze with a time of 42:40.77.
Brown finished runner-up in the final two nationals behind Sarah Gigante in the time trial, who is out of action due to a heart condition.
Brown reaffirmed her status as the top Australian in the women's time trial with a fourth-place finish amid a spectacular ground at the Tokyo Games.
The last event on Wednesday is the men's elite time trial, where Rohan Dennis and Luke Durbridge are the strong favorites like Brown.
