Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver finalize divorce after 10 years; division of $400 million fortune to remain confidential

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are officially divorced.

The former power couple finalized their divorce after more than 10 years on Tuesday, December 28

According to TMZ, a judge in Los Angeles signed off on the official ruling legally ending their 25-year marriage. The 66-year-old journalist filed for divorce from the film star on July 1, 2011, following news that Arnold had given birth to a child, Joseph Baena, with her family housekeeper.

The actor later accepted the claims and since then started sharing pictures and videos of his bonding with Joseph.

According to reports, the settlement of assets and the division of the couple’s assets worth $400 million are confidential, but according to sources, it is likely to be split equally.

Arnold and Maria married on April 26, 1986, and have four children together – Katherine, 32, Christina, 30, Patrick, 28, and Christopher, 24.

The report also said that the couple’s divorce took a decade to finalize as it was a combination of a ‘lack of motivation’ and a ‘too complicated property settlement’ agreement. The couple moved in years ago and remained in a relationship, but remained cordial with each other and continued to co-parent their children.
