If you've been dreaming of an enchanted sequel, that dream is finally coming true! That's right, Disney confirmed the follow-up film, Disillusioned, is due out in 2020 — and since then, we've been really, really excited. Amy Adams' beloved character Giselle is returning for more "fantastic fun", 15 years after the princess-to-be of Andalsia finds herself in real-world New York City and is saved from the kiss of a true love in the original 2007 film Was.
"Working with Disney again is like coming home," director Adam Shankman said in a 2021 press release. "With Amy and this extraordinary cast, the mind-blowing new scores of Alan [Menken] and Stephen [Schwartz], and with the support of Barry [Josephson] and Disney, I am looking forward to bringing magic and joy to audiences around the world." I hope."

Are Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey in the Enchanted Sequel?
Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprise their roles as Giselle and Robert for the sequel. "There's a lot more singing and a lot more dancing, which was humble," the Golden Globe-winning actress told Jimmy Fallon in 2021. In my twenties, and now I'm not in my twenties. It feels different in your forties. In my heart, I feel like I'm in my twenties when I'm dancing, and then I watch the playback and I think, 'Wow, that's not the same.
Who else is in the enchanted cast?
Enchanted stars James Marsden and Idina Menzel, whose characters Prince Edward and Nancy Tremaine tied the knot at the end of the original film, also returned for the sequel.
“My character in particular is completely different because at the end of the first movie she jumps down a manhole with James Marsden,” Menzel previously told Parade.com. "She's like being in the world of [a] animated story from this New York girl. So it was fun to find out how much she put her New York self in with her, and how she loved being Queen of Andalsia and this hot prince Bought how much to buy, which is like killing dragons and stuff. So, it was really fun."

Dempsey's daughter from the first film grew up in Morgan Disenchanted and is played by newcomer Gabriella Baldacchino.
As Maya Rudolph tweeted, "What's a good fairy tale without a great villain?" The actress will play Giselle's new antagonist in Monroeville: Malvina. Rudolph tweeted in 2021, "I'll see you in Andalasia my beauties...."
Malvina's son will be portrayed by Colton Stewart. The cast also includes Yvette Nicole Brown as Rosalyn, Jayma Mays as Ruby, and Oscar Nunez as Edgar.
Is there a trailer for the Enchanted sequel?
No trailer or teaser has been released officially yet. Shankman announced in August 2021 that production had wrapped. Months later in March 2022, photos of Adams and Dempsey seemingly wearing costumes for the film hit the web. Check them out here!

Will there be more music in the Enchanted sequel?
Get ready to sing along again! The new film will feature new songs from Menken and Schwartz, whose work on the first film garnered three Academy Award nominations. While fans were robbed of Tony winner Menzel's voice in Enchanted, the Wicked alum will be singing in dismay. "You hear me out a lot," she previously told Parade.com. "Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken wrote the most beautiful, romantic, inspiring lyric[s] song, and I'm so excited for all of you to hear it."
Menzel said, "James and I get to do a song too and so there's a lot more music in this movie than before. Same for Amy. Amy is singing her butt and Maya Rudolph is singing and so good There is music."
Disillusionment would mark Dempsey's singing debut. "I'll sing for the first time. I've never sung in public — for some reason. So bear with me. I hope fans accept it," the actor told Variety in 2021. But they set me up for success And the songs are really fun. The numbers have really great choreography. And the premise is going to be interesting."
