Stefon Diggs, the bill reached an agreement on four years, extension $ 96m

Another wide receiver got p-a-i-d.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday morning that the Buffalo Bills agreed with Stephen Diggs to elaborate on a four-year, $96 million contract extension, which could be worth more in incentives.

The deal puts the 28-year-old Diggs under contract at Buffalo for the next six seasons.

It's a deserved payday for one of the top receivers in the NFL and Josh Allen's go-to goal.

Diggs has recorded at least 1,000 yards in the past four seasons. After joining Buffalo two years ago, Diggs led the NFL in 2020 with 127 catches for 1,535 yards for first-team All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl selection. In 2021, he covered 1,225 yards for 103 catches.

Diggs has a technician at the receiver who can win on all three levels and tortures corners in both the zone and the man. In crime near the Bills, he works everything out by seeking coverage, giving rising stud Gabriel Davis an opportunity to shine.

The contract is Buffalo's latest big-money play, as they look to handle a rugged AFC after falling short over the past two seasons. This off-season, the Bills' moves included signing Von Miller to a $120 million contract, re-signing center Mitch Morse, adding defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, matching offers on banned free agent Ryan Bates, and tight end. OJ Howard is driving back receiver Jamison Crowder and Duke Johnson among other moves.

Bills general manager Brandon Bean clearly sees his Super Bowl window as of now and is making his financial game to go for it, while Allen and the rest of his key players are in their prime.

Diggs' deal comes on the heels of Davante Adams and Tyrek Hill signing massive contracts with the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins, respectively. Diggs' contract puts him out there with the highest-paid wide receivers - a position that has been running out of cash this season.
