Mads Mikkelsen calls method acting 'bulls*'

Mads Mikkelsen has criticized the way she acted as a 'bull***'.

When asked about his opinion on the controversial acting method, which sees the actor staying in character, the Casino Royale star said: "You can take [the preparation] to madness. What if it's a** ** The movie is - what do you think you achieved?"

Mickelsen was speaking to British GQ about his appearance in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and further scoffed at the notion of method acting: "Am I impressed that you didn't drop the character?

"You should have skipped this from the start! How do you prepare for a serial killer? You're going to spend two years watching this?"

He joked: "I'm smoking a cigarette? It's from 2020, it's not from 1870 - can you live with it? It's just a show."

Mickelsen also praised Daniel Day-Lewis, who is known for his way of acting: "Daniel Day-Lewis is a great actor. But that has nothing to do with it."

Many current actors, such as Jared Leto and Jeremy Strong, adhere to the style of acting and do not break character during the entirety of the production.

It often took 45 minutes for Leto to go to the toilet on the set of Morbius because he refused to break down from his character's walking difficulties.

Mickelson replaced Johnny Depp as Grindelwald in the latest Fantastic Beasts role after the Pirates of the Caribbean star decided to walk away from the role after losing his defamation suit against The Sun, as he cast him as his then-star. Was called "Wife Beater" on an incident with. Wife Amber Heard.

Depp unsuccessfully tried to appeal the decision.

Another trial, this time with Depp suing Heard for defamation, is expected to begin on April 11. Depp is suing an article Heard wrote in 2018 in which he detailed his experiences of domestic abuse.

Although Depp was never named in the article, the actor's lawyers say it misinterpreted that he was physically and sexually abused during their marriage.

High-profile figures such as Paul Bettany, James Franco and Elon Musk are expected to testify.
