Jack White gets engaged, then married at his Michigan concert

Jack White got engaged, then married on stage during their Detroit concert Friday night.

The Detroit News reported that White, 46, called his girlfriend, singer Olivia Jean, on stage to perform a duet for the White Stripes' "Hotel Yorba" in front of a sold out crowd at the Masonic Temple.

White then questions the surprised Jean and puts a ring on her before asking the crowd, "It's been such a good day, if we get married now?"

White, indeed, had an action-packed day. He released his solo album "Fear of the Dawn" and also sang the national anthem in the Detroit Tigers season opener. White and Jean both grew up in The Motor City.

The "Taking Me Back" singer's bandmates, parents and executives, Third Man Records co-founder Ben Swank, gathered on stage to make it official, WXYZ reports.

"Dear darling, we're gathered here today to get over this thing called life," Swank reportedly said, citing Prince's "Let's Go Crazy."

White doesn't allow cell phones at his show, so fans weren't able to capture the wedding.

This is White's third marriage. He and his White Stripes bandmate Meg White were married from 1996 to 2000. He then married model and singer Karen Elson in 2005, but they divorced in 2013.

White returns to the Masonic Temple for another concert on Saturday,
