Dua Lipa, Megan Engle Stallion Recreate Iconic Mariah, Momen Whitney di Grammys

It wasn't a slap, but there was some (staged) drama at the 2022 Grammys.

On Sunday, April 3, Dua Lipa joined collaborator Megan Thee Stallion on stage in Las Vegas to present the Best New Artist award — and the twins were born.

The "Sweetest Pie" stars wore the same Versace safety pin dress, with Lipa wearing elbow-length latex gloves and a long blond wig.

Donatella Versace herself even made a cameo offering on-the-fly tweaks to differentiate the two outfits.

That moment was a tribute to a very similar "diva-off" between Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards.

After being introduced to "one of the world's greatest singers" by Ben Stiller, the two superstars descended into the same brown Vera Wang gown, which Carey and Houston turned on stage to part ways.

Carey acknowledged the tribute Sunday, responding to a tweet saying, "Love you and miss you queen."

Lipa was in Versace all night, on the red carpet wearing a strappy Bondage gown that has a long history in pop culture, from Cindy Crawford in 1992 to Kim Kardashian at the 2018 Met Gala.

Meanwhile, Megan showed her fierce side on the red carpet in a leopard- and tiger-printed Roberto Cavalli gown.
