Yami thanks Kangana for praising her film: 'From one self-made actor to another'

After Kangana Ranaut praised Yami Gautam's recent release A Thursday, Yami thanked her, saying it meant 'moving from one self-made actor to another'.

Yami Gautam is happy with the success of her latest film 'A Thursday'. The film, which released last month on Disney+ Hotstar, has been praised by critics and audiences alike, with most of them praising Yami's performance in particular. Among Yami's fans is fellow actor Kangana Ranaut, who took to social media to praise Yami. In return Yami replied to the compliment on her Instagram.

On Wednesday, Kangana shared a poster of the film featuring Yami on her Instagram stories, and wrote "Congratulations to the team #Thursday @yamigautam @rsvpmovies". He added applause emoji after his lesson. Yami shared Kangana's post on her Instagram stories and wrote, "Thank you Kangana. Means a lot, especially when it comes to a self made actor to another."

This is not the first time that Kangana has praised Yami. In June last year, after Yami married filmmaker Aditya Dhar, Kangana shared a picture of Yami dressed as a bride and praised 'Raw Mountain Girl'. He wrote on his Instagram Stories. "Old of tradition and time. Nothing is more divine than a raw hill girl, the bride became #HimachalPradesh." Both Kangana and Yami are residents of Himachal Pradesh. Kangana was brought up in Manali and is currently living there with her family. Yami was born in Bilaspur.

A Thursday is a spiritual sequel to Neeraj Pandey's 2008 sleeper hit A Wednesday! The film stars Yami as Naina, a playschool teacher in Mumbai who takes young children hostage, demands ₹5 crore, and has a chat with the Prime Minister, played by Dimple Kapadia. . Police Atul Kulkarni and Neha Dhupia are trying to stop him. Directed by Behzad Khambata, the film received largely favorable reviews when it released on February 18.

The Hindustan Times review of the film stated, "It is a serviceable vigilante film, whose pluses include the tense atmosphere supplied by the campus. The incessant rain adds to the depressing proceedings."
