It's a day that looked like it would never come, but Brad Davison plays his last game for Wisconsin Basketball.
Davison has been a fan favorite from day one when he took to the court for the Badgers. There is a place for Davison in the hearts of many Badgers fans for the contributions he has made over the past five years. For everything, all we have to say is, thank you.

Brad Davison is one player that fans and coaches alike dream about.
It's hard not to love someone who talks their heart out every time they step on the floor. Every loose ball was going after Davison. Every time the team needed someone to play defensively, Davison would take charge. Those little things made Brad Davison the winner. He always had the will to win and a constant motor.
It was things like his constant motor that made him so endearing. He never took his foot off the gas and always spoke his heart, even till the last seconds of his college career. There was no drama that you would see Davison take off and that's what makes him so special. Also that he was not loved so much by fans of other teams.
He's the classic example of a player you love when he's on your team and doesn't love at all when he's on the other team. He was ours and we were lucky that he was ours.
We will never forget the leadership he brought. It's easy to tell that Davison has plans to coach how he conducted himself on the court. It seemed like there were times in every game where Davison could be seen helping either an individual player or an entire team. We will all miss his leadership next season.
A lot of outsiders would consider Davison a dirty player. There may have been a time or two where things were a little suspicious, but most of the time, it was just a player wanting to win and trying to make a big game.
It is unfortunate that other fan bases have such a negative perception of Davison because Brad Davison is even more important than the player, Brad Davison the man. There are many examples of Davison being a good person off the court.
Davison was always ready to interact with fans and make their day. No matter how you look at Davison as a player, there is no denying that the person he is, cannot be compared to a lot of people. Many of us should strive to be like the Brad Davison person.
He may have been a hater, but he was our hater. We loved him. Few people bring more to the Wisconsin Men's Basketball Team than Brad Davison and that's what makes him so special to us. It's hard not to root for a player who has played like Davison over the past five years.
So, if you're Brad Davison and you're reading this, thank you for everything you've given us during the last five years. Badger Nation will love you forever and we will never forget all you did and accomplished for us.
