Top Gun Tom Cruise: Maverick Trailer - I think I like the plane now?

Never been much of a plane cow - I leave it to Sir Charlie Hall, Master of Flight Simulators. But Top Gun: Maverick can leave my head in the clouds permanently. A new trailer teases the ground drama of the long-awaited sequel, and more importantly, high-speed aerial stunt star Tom Cruise (The Mummy) preparing for the film, which will be released this spring after several delays. It hits theatres.

Top Gun: Maverick finds Cruise's character Pete "Maverick" Mitchell graduates from rebel test pilot to instructor, leading a team of new TOPGUN hot shots called the Paramount Synopsis "a special mission that no surviving pilot has ever attempted." Haven't seen it." The new squad includes Lieutenant Bradshaw (Miles Teller), aka "Rooster", the son of Goose, who was killed during a training exercise in the original 1986 film. Maverick is facing his past, deep fears, new enemies, more memories, plans.

"Everything you see in this movie is real," Cruz said at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, where he premiered the first footage from the film. "We're dealing with the Navy. I wanted to give you the experience of being inside that plane."

Mission potentially accomplished. Cruise and director Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion, Tron: Legacy) found a modern take on Tony Scott's original Top Gun action by placing cameras inside real planes and elevating them in every way. It looks gorgeous even on the small screen. Am I a plane guy now? I can be a plane guy. Charlie, boot up the flight simulator.
