Report: Jarrett Allen out indefinitely with fractured finger

Cavaliers suffer another big injury, this time to All-Star center Jarrett Allen.

Cleveland Cavaliers c Jarrett Allen has been ruled out indefinitely after suffering a broken finger, according to Athletics shams Charnia. Allen is expected to be sidelined for an indefinite period, which is another big blow for the Cavaliers this season. Cleveland has lost Colin Sexton, Ricky Rubio (injury and then to trade), and most recently, Caris Levert. The Cavs have lost six of their last eight matches, though a three-game losing streak ended with a win over the Raptors on Sunday.

The Cavaliers have managed to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture despite battling injuries throughout the season. It might not be too difficult for them either. To anchor things on defense is rookie Evan Mobley on the front court in front of the Cavs. Kevin Love may replace Allen in the starting lineup. It's a hit on the defensive end, but between Mobli, Love and Laurie Markkanen, the Cavaliers should be able to keep things on offense.

Love and Markkanen are pretty well off strings of relaxation in a shallow fantasy basketball league at the end of the season. Love (or at least the favourite) would have been on the run to win the 6th Man of the Year if it wasn't for Tyler Hero. Dean Wade and Cedi Usman will also have to play more minutes on the front court. We've seen Wade start in the past when there are injuries for Cleveland.
