According to Politico, Biden said Tuesday night, "The US rescue plan provided $350 billion that cities, states and counties can use to deploy more police, invest in more proven strategies."
“Proven strategies such as interrupting community violence, trusted messengers working the cycle of violence and trauma, and giving hope to young people,” he continued. "We must all agree: The answer is not to defame the police. The answer is to provide the police with the resources and training they need to protect our communities."
Then he talked about stopping "gun smuggling".
“And I will continue to do everything in my power to crack down on gun smuggling and ghost guns that you can buy online and make at home – they have no serial numbers and cannot be traced,” Biden.
Washington Examiner reporter Emily Brooks said the Left Representative. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Corey Bush (D-MO) sat during Biden remarks, while most other Democrats stood. and rejoiced. Bush reportedly even shouted during that part of the speech.
