Freddie Freeman is one of the biggest free agents available, and his market is now expected to heat up once the MLB lockout is over. Several top teams have an interest in Freeman, including one of his previous rivals.
According to John Morosi of MLB Network, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a keen interest in Freeman. Morosi says the Atlanta Braves of the New York Yankees and Freeman are also interested in the first baseman.
Freeman was drafted by the Braves in 2007 and spent his entire career with them, making five All-Star teams. He has led the league in runs scored over the past two years and won NL MVP during the brief 2020 season.
#Dodgers interest in Freddie Freeman is sincere, based on what I have heard from sources tonight. #Braves and #Yankees obviously are prominent in the Freeman marketplace. Some in the industry believe he could be next major free agent to sign. @MLBNetwork

Although he is 32, teams believe Freeman is still a big impact bat, with more years left in his prime.
The Dodgers have been linked to Freeman throughout the offseason, with one of their players reportedly recruiting a first baseman. The Yankees have also been linked to Freeman.
The Dodgers and Braves have met in the NLCS for two consecutive years, with Freeman helping Atlanta win last year on his way to a World Series victory. If he switches sides in a rivalry, it will be a big swing if the teams should meet for the third year in a row post season.
