Oilers' Zack Kassian activated off LTIR ahead of Wednesday's game vs. Capitals

Edmonton Oilers winger Zac Cassian has been activated from long injured reserve ahead of Wednesday night's game against the Washington Capitals. Cassian was sidelined after suffering a jaw fracture on February 9 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Oilers also announced that Kyle Turris has been placed on injured reserve. Turis was recently on IR with a back issue and was initially activated on 3rd March.

Cassian, 31, has scored five goals and nine assists in 35 games with the Oilers this season. Edmonton is 30-23-4 and sits in fourth place in the Pacific Division.
