Nevada woman stabbed date in ‘revenge’ for U.S. killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani: police

A 21-year-old Nevada woman met a man on the Plant of Fish, found a hotel room with him and was blindfolded.

He then stabbed Iranian general Qasem Soleimani in the neck in retaliation for the death in a 2020 drone strike, according to police.

Nika Nicobin has been charged with attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, and theft for the March 5 attack, KLAS reported on Saturday.

The victim has not been publicly identified and it is unclear whether he has links to Iran or Soleimani.

The date felt "pain in the side of his neck" while the two were fooling around at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Henderson, then pushed Nicobin and ran out of the room.

According to the arrest report obtained by KLAS, Nicobin also told a hotel employee that he had stabbed the man.

She told police that she "wanted revenge" and had prepared by listening to a song called "Grave Digger", which "inspired her to seek revenge."

Soleimani was assassinated in January 2020 in a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport on the orders of former President Donald Trump.

Nicobin is being held on $60,000 bond and is due back in court on March 24, according to online prison records.
