Leslie Mann faced David Duchovny about Ghosting 27 years before

Leslie Mann was not going to let David Duchovny off the hook.

For 27 years, Mann wondered why Duchovny saw him and rejoined "The Bubble" giving Mann the perfect opportunity to confront him.

The two first met years ago when he was in Vancouver shooting "The X-Files" and she was working on "Birdland."

"I thought, 'He's really into me. Maybe we date or something,'" Mann recalled on "Live with Kelly & Ryan."

“He invited me to his set and I invited him to a Halloween party that I was having in my hotel room. And then after the party, we decided to go to a bar for a drink,” she continued "We get in the cab — David, my best friend, and I — and he stops the cab, gets out of the cab, runs away, and doesn't talk to me again for 27 years."

Mann did not know where Duchovny had gone.

“For 27 years, my best friend and I used to talk about everything. what went wrong? What happened?" she said.

In the end, the two worked on "The Bubble" and Mann "acted up the courage" to ask Duchovny about the night.

Mann elaborated, "He was like, 'Oh, yeah yeah yeah. I remember some of it. I don't know. I probably left my weed in my room or something. It's awful! ... It's personal' Wasn't. He needed weed!"

All went well as Mann met Judd Apatow shortly after, with whom she would soon celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary.

"It's so big," Mann said of their marriage. “I feel very lucky that I got to spend my life with him. He is really a good person. And at the same time I feel like I don't know him at all."
