Lakers: Clippers Coach Still Thinks the Lakers Have a Good Shot to Win

Tyron Lue had a lot of really good things to say about the Lakers following the Clippers' win over them this week.

At this point in the season, the Lakers have little hope of clinching a title this year. There is hardly any hope that they will make it to the play-ins, let alone a place in the playoffs.

The Lakers are playing some of their worst basketball of the entire season right now, while missing a crucial piece. Anthony Davis will likely be out for most, if not all, of the regular season. She has yet to make her Kendrick Nunn debut, and time is running out for her very quickly.

But Clippers coach Tyron Lew may have more faith in the Lakers than his fans. After his win over Purple and Gold on Thursday night, Lew had this to say about his Crypto.com Arena roommates.

To be fair, there's something special about playing with your back against the wall and nothing to lose. This is where the Lakers aren't right. No one around the NBA expects them to fight against the top seeded teams, especially in the Western Conference.

But they're still led by LeBron James, and that's clearly enough for Lew to think they could be dangerous. Bringing back Anthony Davis will be huge, but figuring out what to do with Russell Westbrook will be even more important down the stretch.
