Dolly Parton is declining a nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The "I Will Always Love You" singer posted on social media on Monday that even though she may be "flattered" by the nomination, she has to decline.

"I don't think I earned the authority," Parton said in a statement posted on social media. "I really don't want votes to be divided because of me, so I should bow down respectfully."

Parton, who was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999, said he hoped the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would reconsider him "if I ever deserved," she wrote.
